Bible Exhibition comes to Dundee

The UK’s largest touring exhibition of ancient and modern Bibles is coming to Dundee during the week commencing 6 August 2012.  The exhibition is being hosted by the Dundee Christadelphians and will be on display at Discovery Point in the Falcon Scott Suite.

Welcome to the Bible Exhibition

Admission is free.

The Bible Exhibition has been touring the country for over 50 years.  2011 was the 400th anniversary of the publication of the King James Bible and the exhibition generated great interest wherever it went.

The Bible is the centre of Christian belief and yet many people have never read it, or not looked at it for many years.  Sometimes people are put off the by the old language, others doubt its authenticity whilst others just don’t see the point of it.  The Bible Exhibition aims to answer all those questions and show that the Bible is just as relevant in 2012 as it was in the days that it was written.

Exhibits include; a range of ancient and modern Bibles and a 13th century Latin manuscript, a modern facsimile of the first printed Bible and a 16th century Jewish scroll; replicas of archaeological exhibits from around the world. There are also video presentations and computer quizzes. Visitors are able to use an audio guide as they go round the whole exhibition.

More details can be found at thebibleexhibition.org.

The Bible is arguably the world’s bestselling book, but probably the least read.  We hope to encourage you to take another look at it.  It may surprise you.
